CTC Details!

Posted on Oct 24 2024 - 7:04pm

Hi Scouts and Parents.

Please be at the Scout House by 5 pm tomorrow evening to leave for Camp Cutler for the 2024 Challenge Trophy Camporee!  Please wear class A and be fed!  We will not be making dinner at the camp site Friday evening and will only have some snacks.

The Weather for Naples, NY this weekend is very cool at night (45 Friday night, 38 on Saturday night), partly cloudy and change of scattered showers Saturday (it always rains at CTC!)

Please Pack;

  • Layers!
  • Rain jacket
  • Hiking Boots or Shoes (bring an extra pair just in case!)
  • Hat, gloves
  • Tent, ground cover, sleeping bag/sleeping pad
  • Day pack
  • Head Lamp
  • Water bottle, mug
  • Overnight Toiletries (toothbrush!)
  • Extra Spending money for extra patches and scout store!

The Troop has covered the cost of registration for attending CTC, but the cost for food and supplies for the weekend is $20 per Scout.  Please bring payment to Jeff Neill or make checks payable to Troop 134.

Cell phone coverage is very limited at Camp Cutler at best.

If your scout is at least 12 years old, they may participate in rifle shooting at camp.  I will have permission forms at the meeting this evening and at departure Friday.

We anticipate being back at the Scout House by 10 am Sunday morning.  If that time varies greatly, I will send another eBlast notification.

Let Mr. Zoller know what questions you have this evening!
