Possible Campout and Fundraiser 6/12-14

Posted by mlesniak on Apr 24 2026 - 2:49pm

We have been asked to attend a Baja event in Palmyra, NY. The troop would be camping out at the event from Friday to Sunday. We would be cooking and selling hotdogs at the event. Before we can offer this event to the scouts, we will need 4 adults to fully commit to the weekend. Troop 7 use to run the event but they are no longer chartered with BSA. There is a calendar event created, please sign up to see if we can get enough adults for the weekend.

Herkimer Diamond Mine Camping, May 29-31

Posted by mlesniak on Apr 24 2026 - 2:41pm

The sign up is still open for Herkimer. We will be closing the sign up in a few weeks. We have a limited amount of tent sites and will need to confirm hard numbers to the camp ground. Scout who have not signed up, may not be able to attend.

We are traveling back to the mines at the end of May for a Troop campout. The Troop will stay at the KOA across the street from the mines. The scouts will have more time at the mine this year and also we will be cooking all the meals, no bagged lunches.

The troop is covering the cost of camping and mining.
